So, four days later I migrated to Astro, lol. I found this blogging template, and what really sold me was the subposts feature, which is perfect for works with multiple chapters.

I’ll probably fork it to make a proper template in the future, but for now, you can read on below about the 11ty starter template I made!

Not so much a blog post but an announcement (or a devlog?) – I finally have a README for the AO3 11ty starter template I’ve been working on and off, so I guess you can take a look and give it a go?

It’s still more verbose than I’d like it to be, and hopefully in the future I can streamline it to be easier to use for beginners. And this website design as it is right now isn’t based off of the starter template; I created the starter template after I published this site, mostly since I didn’t want to open-source this version but I still wanted to make the code available for other people to use.

(Side note: I’ve seen at least one website using the starter template, even when it didn’t have a README! Shoutout to that person for being a real one. Also, I just realised it isn’t even a proper one-click template, oops. I’ll fix that in the future.)

On the writing side of things, 2025 hasn’t been a good year for it, unfortunately. I’ve participated in a zine (my first physical one!), but I’d really like to write more next year.

And as for house/website-keeping, I might redesign this place again? Nothing too drastic, but I find that it looks plain and I’d like to give it more personality, and possibly challenge myself to explore some web design things I haven’t tried before. And maybe re-think about how I’ve structured the 11ty side of it… Ah, so many things I want to do, but so little time.

Happy holidays!
